The Ravens will announce the hire of new OC Gary Kubiak today at 3 pm.

Kubiak will bring a philosophy that obviously favors the run over the pass, so the days of Joe Flacco throwing upwards of 600 times are likely a thing of the past. Look for Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce to see a lot of work in 2014 though the Ravens might also bring in some backfield competition for their embattled duo.ANALYST: Ray Flowers

Jeff Manship will open the year at Triple-A Columbus.

Manship has gotten rocked in ever big league stint. His lowest ERA in any season was 5.28 in 2010; his 6.65 ERA in 23 innings with the Phillies was his lowest since then. He does not have any fantasy value in any format. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Indians optioned P Josh Tomlin to Triple-A Columbus.

Tomlin has some upside if he can repeat his 8.13 K/9 from last season, but home runs will likely always be an issue. Tomlin has allowed 1.41 HR/9 over his big league career, far too high for him to be a consistent fantasy producer. He will almost certainly be in the rotation at some point and could even get the call up before Danny Salazar even though Salazar has far more upside for fantasy. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Zach McAllister will start the April 10th home opener against the Tigers.

McAllister was actually pretty decent last season, with a 3.45 FIP and 3.84 xFIP indicating his 5.23 ERA was at least partially the result of some back luck. That being said it looks like Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez will be good to go for that game, meaning McAllister should not be started outside of AL-only leagues. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Josh Reddick (oblique) will play five innings in a camp game at the minor-league complex.

This guy always seems to have some type of injury as he struggles to stay healthy on a consistent basis. Reddick is a cheap source for power whenever he is healthy.  Analysis: Mark Kaplan

Astros outfielder L.J. Hoes is still sore after being hit in the wrist by a pitch on Saturday, manager A.J. Hinch said. The team is still awaiting an X-ray, and Hoes will be held out of all activities on Sunday.

Hoes was once a highly touted prospect, but he has struggled to hit at the major league level. Hoes is not a lock to make the opening day roster for the Astros, which means he should be avoided in standard fantasy leagues.  Analysis: Mark Kaplan

Tigers pitcher Bruce Rondon (neck) felt better Sunday morning but won't pitch at all.

He won't pitch at all on Sunday as he's dealing with a stiff neck. Rondon has struggled during spring training by giving up four earned runs in less than seven innings pitched.  Analysis: Mark Kaplan

Athletics optioned RHP Chris Bassitt to Triple-A Nashville.

Nothing to see here as the A's are making some regular cuts to their major league roster. Bassitt basically has zero fantasy value in redraft fantasy leagues.  Analysis: Mark Kaplan

DeJuan Blair (personal) will not be available for Sunday's game.

This means nothing for fantasy players as Blair has done practically nothing this entire season.  Analysis: Mark Kaplan

Josmil Pinto (concussion) might start the season on the disabled list.

The young catcher has missed over a week of action due to a concussion. Pinto is worth a late round pick in dynasty and AL-only leagues because he'll likely get every day at-bats later on in the season.  Analysis: Mark Kaplan
