Justin Verlander is set to start throwing progression Monday in Lakeland.
Starting up the throwing program is obviously encouraging, but how long it will take for Verlander to get back on track is difficult to say. He will not be ready for the start of spring training and he is also in doubt for Opening Day. The wear and tear is finally starting to catch up to him, so watch where you look for him in drafts this year. He is not the same pitcher he once was.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Derrick Rose will not play against the Bucks Wednesday.
Rose was doing full-contact drills Monday and participating in 5-on-5 work Tuesday. He's building up his conditioning and it shouldn't be much longer before he's back on the court. How many minutes he logs per game once he does return might be in question as the Bulls are looking more towards the playoffs than anything else. Analysis: Howard Bender
Terrence Jones (ribs, lung) wil play Wednesday.
Jones has missed the last six games with a collapsed lung, so to see him get back on the court Wednesday is great news just from a humanistic standpoint. If he can continue to shine glass as he's done throughout the season (7.3 boards per game), then he'll be a nice asset down the stretch. Analysis: Howard Bender
