Parsons uses USA Basketball snub as motivation on career night where he set an NBA record for 3-pointers in a half, matched a Rockets record for consecutive made 3-pointers without a miss and for threes made in a game.
Parsons was tied with Bradley Beal for 32nd most 3-pointers made coming into Friday's game at 68 this season and was shooting about 38% from beyond the arc. Parsons has been feeling it of late as he is shooting 50% from the field and 3-point range over his last five games while averaging 21.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists over his last five games proving he is more than a three point shooting specialist. The Mariners and Marlins are discussing a trade that would send Marcell Ozuna to Seattle.
After hitting 23 home runs in his first full season in 2013, Ozuna disappointed with just 10 home runs in 494 PA in 2014. His HR/FB rate fell back to around league average last year, which obviously killed his value. But he did cut his strikeout rate down from the mid-20's to the low-20's and he'll just be 25 this season, so there'a a chance for a bounce back. Unfortunately a move to Seattle wouldn't represent an upgrade in home park, but at least it's a lateral move from Miami. Analysis: Brett Talley
