Parsons uses USA Basketball snub as motivation on career night where he set an NBA record for 3-pointers in a half, matched a Rockets record for consecutive made 3-pointers without a miss and for threes made in a game.
Parsons was tied with Bradley Beal for 32nd most 3-pointers made coming into Friday's game at 68 this season and was shooting about 38% from beyond the arc. Parsons has been feeling it of late as he is shooting 50% from the field and 3-point range over his last five games while averaging 21.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists over his last five games proving he is more than a three point shooting specialist. Jarrod Parker (elbow) hit 92 mph in his simulated game on Saturday.
Parker's surgery was in March of last year, knocking him out for all of 2014. Recovery has gone well for him, and he made a big step earlier in the Spring by throwing to live hitters. This was his second Tommy John procedure, so it's not a surprise that the Athletics are taking it slow with him. Parker had a decent year in 2013, his second full season in the majors, throwing 197 innings en route to a 3.97 ERA and 134 strikeouts. He's not a viable fantasy option this year, though, due to his injury. Analysis: Ben Diamond
