Victor Cruz says his rehab from knee surgery "is going extremely well".
Wilson Ramos is not in the Nationals starting lineup on Sunday.
This appears to be a routine day off for the Nationals starting Catcher (nothing out of the ordinary in a Sunday afternoon game), but the timing may provide Ramos an opportunity to break out of the mini-slump that he's in. After stringing together a 19-game hit-streak, Ramos has gone 0-for-11 in his last three games. Jose Lobaton, who is 1-for-8 in his career against opposing starting pitcher Aaron Harang, will get the start in Ramos' absence. Analysis: Brad Costilo
Jose Bautista is not in the Blue Jays starting lineup on Sunday.
This appears to be a routine day off for the struggling Bautista (.215 average with seven home runs in 40 games), who's been the everyday DH while recovering from a shoulder injury that has left him almost unable to throw a baseball. Edwin Encarnacion will get the start at DH, with Justin Smoak making the start at First Base in today's game. Analysis: Brad Costilo
Jose Altuve is not in the Astros starting lineup on Sunday.
This appears to be a routine day off, and an attempt to get Altuve back on track. While Altuve's season stat-line doesn't look bad (.294 with five home runs and 14 stolen bases), he has only managed to get on base in five of his last ten games, dropping his average by 39 points in the process. Marwin Gonzalez, who is 2-for-4 in his career against Anibal Sanchez, will get the start in Altuve's absence. Analysis: Brad Costilo
