Cardinals pitcher Jason Motte "feels pretty good" about his rehab, according to MLB Network Radio. Motte would not talk about a timetable for his recovery, but indicated things were going well. He said his goal was to be a healthy contributor this year, and added that was his motivation for the season. Motte did not pitch in the majors last season due to undergoing Tommy John surgery.

Motte is miles removed from working the 9th inning, Trevor Rosenthal has that role at the moment and figures to keep it all year long unless he struggles. Motte will hope to return in a setup role for the Cardinals. ANALYST: Ray Flowers
