Dave Dombrowski said Justin Verlander is doing 'great,' but still might not be ready for start of season.
And so it begins. Verlander is starting to tumble down draft boards with each passing day. With more than two full months before action gets underway, the fact that the Tigers are already admitting that Verlander will miss his first start should cause you to pause if you think that Verlander is lined up to be your ace for 2014.ANALYST: Ray Flowers
The Mariners and Marlins are discussing a trade that would send Marcell Ozuna to Seattle.
After hitting 23 home runs in his first full season in 2013, Ozuna disappointed with just 10 home runs in 494 PA in 2014. His HR/FB rate fell back to around league average last year, which obviously killed his value. But he did cut his strikeout rate down from the mid-20's to the low-20's and he'll just be 25 this season, so there'a a chance for a bounce back. Unfortunately a move to Seattle wouldn't represent an upgrade in home park, but at least it's a lateral move from Miami. Analysis: Brett Talley
