New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith boarded a Los Angeles-to-Ft. Lauderdale flight Friday afternoon for a trip home, but he never got off the ground. Smith was involved in a dispute with a male flight attendant over his headphones, left the plane and was questioned by airport police at the gate, according to multiple sources.

Phillies said Aaron Harang will be activated from the disabled list and start Thursday night against Atlanta.

Aaron Harang is recovering from a plantar fasciitis injury which cost him nearly a month of playing time. The Phillies will skip his lone rehab start at Triple-A Lehigh-Valley to pitch on Thursday against the Braves.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Dolphins expect WR DeVante Parker to be available for the regular-season opener.

The Dolphins placed DeVante Parker on the active/PUP list after undergoing surgery last month to have a screw replaced in his previously-operated foot. Miami is hoping to avoid Parker starting the season on the reserve/PUP list which would mean he misses the first six games. He will not get much work in camp as he recovers.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Buster Posey is not in the Giants starting lineup Wednesday.

This is just a routine day off for Posey after a night game on Tuesday. We will see Hector Sanchez get the call behind the plate.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Robinson Cano is not in the Mariners starting lineup Wednesday.

Robinson Cano is one of the hottest hitters in baseball over the past two weeks. He hitting .348 with a five home runs, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored. The Mariners are giving him a day of rest and we all can just hope that he doesn't cool down.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Byron Buxton (thumb) will take batting practice on the field Thursday.

If all goes well on Thursday with batting practice, he'll move onto play in simulated games at the Twins' spring training complex. There is no word on how many games he will need but hopefully it won't be long after that before he starts a minor league rehab assignment. There has been a lot of speculation that he could be out until late August but we will just have to see how his thumb reacts to the work. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Eric Decker says he has seen Geno Smith make progress this offseason in "taking accountability" and being a leader.

The Jets traded for Ryan Fitzpatrick this off-season as a back-up plan in case Geno Smith goes Geno Smith all over the place in 2015. We saw reports on Monday that he has about half the season to show he produce as the Jets' starting quarterback. The quotes from Eric Decker lead you to believe that the wide receiver core has faith in him but does the coaching staff and front office will be the question. Analysis: Drew Phelps is reporting that safety Kam Chancellor wants more money and is considering holding out.

Chancellor deal is up at the end of next season and wants to lock up more guaranteed money. He is currently the league's seventh highest paid safety at $7 million per season. The Seahawks can't afford to be without Chancellor especially with his counter-part Earl Thomas out for the entire preseason. ESPN's Jim Trotter is reporting that the Seahawks "have no intentions of revisiting" Chancellor's deal. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Chris Conley has a knee sprain. He's day-to-day.

The rookie wide receiver out of Georgia was forced to leave camp on Wednesday with a strained knee. One would expect him to rest and recover for upwards of a week but there is a starting spot on the line. Conley may want to push himself back on the field sooner rather than later. He has 4.35 speed and looks to take the role left by Donnie Avery. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Ivan Nova (arm fatigue) expects to make his next start Sunday against the White Sox.

The Yankees do not seem overly concerned after having to pull Nova early from Monday's game because of arm fatigue. The team feels like this is all part of the recovery process from his Tommy John surgery. Nova said clearly that he is not hurt.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Cubs designated Mike Baxter for assignment.

The Cubs have made the move to call-up Ben Rowen to the 40-man roster. Baxter put up a middling batting line of .246/.348/.263 in a short 46 game stint in the Windy City. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Jorge Solar is not in Wednesday's starting lineup.

Early speculation is that this is just a planned day off for the Cubs right fielder as he has made an extensive number of consecutive starts recently. Chris Coghlan will shift over to right field Wednesday while Kyle Schwarber gets the start in left field. Analysis: Howard Bender

Dallas Beeler was optioned to Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday.

Beeler was just up for Tuesday's start and was promptly sent right back down after getting beaten up by the Rockies. He may be on the short-list for spot starts, but he is far from ever being a recommended starter. Analysis: Howard Bender

Clayton Kershaw may be scratched from his Wednesday start with a sore hip.

Well now this would be a huge letdown for DFS owners as the match-up with the A's was pure DFS gold. The Dodgers will continue to test him out before the game, but may have to make alternative plans if he is unable to pitch. Stay tuned to Fantasy Alarm for the Dodgers ultimate decision and potential replacement if necessary. Analysis: Howard Bender

Dodgers have acquired SP Mat Latos and 1B Michael Morse from the Marlins for prospects.

Morse's value is expected to take a hit here as he is likely to see fewer at-bats with the Dodgers than he would have with the Marlins. He will likely be mixed in to the left field platoon in some way, will potentially spell Yasiel Puig in right and may get some starts at first when Adrian Gonzalez needs a day off. But overall, there are now too many mouths to feed in this lineup and Morse will simply have to wait his turn. Analysis: Howard Bender
