Although Tigers avoided arbitration with Max Scherzer Friday, GM Dave Dombrowski confirms team will still explore a long-term deal with Scherzer.
Scherzer's deal is for about $15.5 million for 2014 so it would be wise for the Tigers to pay Scherzer now versus waiting for him to have another dominating season thereby pushing his price tag even higher.ANALYST: Ray Flowers
Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said the team is giving Marcus Mariota more chances to run the football.
One of the bigger surprises this fantasy season has been the lack of running by Mariota, considering he came from a read option offense in Oregon. However, the rookie quarterback has still been a solid fantasy option despite the lack of running, so this will give a slight boost to his value if he is able to churn out a few yards on the ground. It’s always a tough situation when quarterbacks run more as they open themselves up for injury, but the Titans must feel confident that Mariota will know how to protect himself when he decides to take off and run.
