DE Greg Hardy was back to practice on Wednesday after sitting out Monday with an illness.
Hardy was a top three overall rated defensive end, among teams that play a 4-3 defense, and finished the regular season with the third most sacks in the NFL.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Hardy seems to be just fine as the illness has worked its way in and out of his system already. He was back at practice and banging bodies just as he always does, Hardy tied the team's franchise record with 15 sacks and will probably draw the assignment of being the one who follows Colin Kaepernick most of the afternoon in the hopes of containing the incredibly mobile quarterback.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Andre Ellington suffered a left foot injury in Week 12.
Surprise, suprise, Ellington got hurt again. The guy is made of glass and should not be started in any leagues. He should be rostered in most leagues, but he's so fragile it's basically impossible to count on him getting through an entire game without suffering some type of setback. Add that to the fact that Chris Johnson gets the majority of the carries and Ellington is even more difficult to trust. Analysis: Zack Carpenter
Blake Griffin scored 26 points (9-of-16 FGA, 7-of-9 FTA), grabbed eight rebounds, and recorded eight assists on Sunday afternoon against the T-Wolves.
Blake Griffin finished a couple rebounds and assists shy of a triple-double on Sunday afternoon, as he scored 26 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and recorded eight assists. He also was pretty efficient from the floor, making 9-of-16 shots, and from the free throw line, converting 7-of-9 attempts. At this point, he has established himself as a premier fantasy player, and a fringe elite star in terms of the NBA overall. Continue to expect big things out of him going forward due to his immense talent, versatile skillset, and elite point guard to get him the ball. Analysis: Dom Murtha
