Quarterback Mark Sanchez is expected to be cut by the Jets rather than compete with Geno Smith for the starting job next season, according to the New York Post. Sanchez has three years remaning on his contract, which calls for him to earn $9 million in 2014.
Colin Kaepernick has worked with Kurt Warner on his throwing mechanics this offseason.
Specifically, the story notes that Kaepernick is working on "engaging his lower half" to allow for better touch. It's hard to believe Kurt Warner would know more about throwing mechanics than Jim Harbaugh or any other quarterback coach Kap has ever worked with. This appears to be more fluff than anything else, though is reports from camp suggest there's been a real change to approach or delivery of throwing a football, it could be something worth remembering on draft day.
