Steve Smith has been diagnosed with a sprained PCL and is “week-to-week." He will not play Sunday vs the Falcons.
This diagnosis comes directly from the East Bunny. Smith appeared to have reinjured his hand while catching his only pass on Sunday then soon after crumbled to the ground in knee pain. Smith really isn't a factor in the Panthers offense anymore so this wouldn't be a big loss whatsoever in their playoff run.ANALYST: Jeff Mans
Marc Krauss went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Thursday in Toronto.
Krauss is hitting only .150 with a .350 slugging percentage after launching his first home run of the season. It was just his seventh game of the season, but there’s no doubt he’ll need to cut down on the strikeouts if he’s ever going to be able to showcase the decent pop he has. The left-handed hitter was called up from AAA to try and infuse some offense in Anaheim and was slugging .639 over his past 10 games. With Matt Joyce really struggling, expect Krauss to steal some of his at-bats over the next few weeks. Analysis: Kevin Luchansky
