Ray Allen (knee) was held out of Sunday's practice.

The 49ers will meet with free-agent linebacker Desmond Bishop on Monday.

The 49ers have lost two linebackers this offseason after both Patrick Willis and Chris Borland retired. It's no surprise that they would contact Bishop considering that he's been a member of the team before. Nothing is imminent, but San Francisco clearly has interest in Bishop's services. Analysis: David Kerr

The Twins are interested in free agent P Rafael Soriano.

Soriano is probably the biggest named free agent left on the market, so he is so to garner some interest from teams as we head into the regular season. Glen Perkins is locked in as Minnesota's closer, but Soriano would do well in a setup role if given the opportunity. Analysis: David Kerr

Update: Mariners have just confirmed news of Victor Sanchez's death in Venezuela after six weeks in coma following boating accident.

Prayers and condolences go out to Sanchez's family. Sanchez suffered a fractured skull and a hemotoma that resulted in a stroke six weeks ago and he never recovered. While Sanchez wasn't viewed as a top prospect in the Mariners' organization, he did reach Double-A as a 19-year-old, so that definitely counts for something. This is the second tragic death of a baseball prospect in the past several months after Oscar Taveras passed away in late-October 2014 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Analysis: David Kerr

Redskins Coach Jay Gruden said this week that he intends to get Pierre Garçon’s numbers “back up” in 2015.

The Redskins are a mess, so this is clearly lip service. Garçon is a fine wide receiver, but to think that his numbers will rise with questions surrounding Washington's quarterback situation are a bit far fetched. The veteran wideout saw 45 less receptions and 594 fewer yards last year than he did in 2013, so to think that his numbers will increase next year is a bit preposterous. View him as a WR3 for now, but Garçon has the ability to be much more if the Redskins can develop some chemistry on offense. Analysis: David Kerr

Gerald Henderson scored 20 points (9-10 FG) alongside five boards and four dimes during the Hornets’ 115-100 win on Saturday.

Henderson has been a forced to be reckoned with of late, as he is averaging 16.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists over his last five games. Most fantasy efforts are making their final push for the 'ship and daily-plays should feel confident in what they are getting out of the 27-year-old Dukie as the season draws to a close. Charlotte hosts Boston on Monday.  Analysis: Keith Tro

Kemba Walker led all scorers with 21 points on 7-of-19 shooting (6-7 FT) with five rebounds and six assists in 34 minutes of action in Saturday’s win at home against Atlanta.

Granted, everyone on the Hawks' primary squad got the day off, Kemba Walker managed to put together 21 points on 36.8% shooting from the floor, on 1-of-4 from deep and 86% from the the charity stripe. He is on a team that is going nowhere fast, but is still producing mightily. Walker is a solid play for the rest of the season in both daily and season-long formats.  Analysis: Keith Tro

Travis Wear (sore lower back) missed Saturday's game and remains day-to-day.

Wear missed his third consecutive game on Saturday as he continues to battle a back injury. The Knicks are a nightmare and even if he were healthy, there is no guarantee that he'd receive ample playing time for fantasy owners. Analysis: David Kerr

Al Jefferson was bothered by his sore knee on Saturday. He played just 18 minutes and scored two points.

Jefferson was questionable headed into Saturday's game, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise. Given Jefferson's struggles on Saturday night, it seems possible that he will miss a few upcoming games. While he had a down game on Saturday, he did post a double-double in his previous two games, so if he's able to play through the pain, he will continue to be a valuable commodity. Analysis: David Kerr

Xavier Su'a-Filo is the leading candidate to start at left guard next season.

Su'a-Filo made 13 appearance in 2014, but only started one game. He showed a ton of growth last year and will look to make the next step forward next season. Analysis: David Kerr

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau is unsure if Derrick Rose (knee) will be cleared for full contact Monday.

Rose continues to battle back from a torn meniscus and the Bulls are hoping he will be able to return by the end of the regular season. Chicago only has eight games left on their slate, so even if Rose doesn't make it back by then, he should be ready by the first round of the playoffs. At this point in time, the Bulls would be the three seed and face Milwaukee in the first round of the playoffs. Analysis: David Kerr

There is a report from Venezuela that Mariners pitching prospect Victor Sanchez has died. There is no confirmation yet from the club.

This is disheartening news, but nothing has been one-percent confirmed. We won't delve into this report until we have more concrete information. Analysis: David Kerr
