Lance Stephenson leads the NBA in triple-doubles with three after going for 12 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and a steal as the Pacers moved into a tie for the best home record in the NBA at 13-1 with their 106-79 win over the Celtics Sunday.

David Ortiz is not in the Red Sox lineup for a second straight game on Friday.

Hmm, it's not often Ortiz sits against a right-hander, especially one as middling and home run-prone as Yovani Gallardo. He's slashing just .216/.303/.377, though, so Hanley Ramirez will move to DH and utility man Brock Holt to left field.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Bobby Parnell's velocity was up to 94-95 MPH in his rehab appearance on Thursday.

Parnell conceded eight runs in his first 6 1/3 rehab innings. He's been lights out lately, with his velocity trending in the right direction. He's on the road to recovery from Tommy John, and it often takes pitchers time before their velocity, control and feel return. Parnell's velocity had dropped substantially before the UCL tear was announced last season, so it's a nice sign that he's throwing hard once again.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Manager Terry Collins says he hopes Travis d'Arnaud gets 20-25 at bats in the minors before rejoining the team.

D'arnaud DH'd in his first rehab appearance with High-A St. Lucie. The Mets likely want him to catch a few games behind the dish too before he returns to the show. It sounds like he'll be back early next week.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Matt Cain will throw 30-pitches to hitters on Saturday.

The news has been mum when it comes to cain. The next step after facing batters will likely be a simulated game, then a rehab assignment. If all goes well, we should expect to see Cain back with Giants sometime in late June or July.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Matt Holliday is not in the Cardinals lineup on Friday.

Randal Grichuk is pencilled in in the cleanup spot and playing left field. Check the forecast before inserting him into your daily fantasy lineups today as there's currently a tarp on the field in St. Louis.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Elvis Andrus is not in the Rangers lineup on Friday.

Hanser Alberto will make his first start of the season after being recalled from Triple-A yesterday. He was slashing .303/.321/.421 at Triple-A Round Rock. Analysis: Spencer Silva

Delino DeShields is not in the Rangers lineup on Friday.

DeShields has been getting reps at second base as well as outfield. Adam Rosales is getting the start at second base and Josh Hamilton will man left field.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Rams RB Trey Watts has been suspended without pay for the first four games.

The University of Tulsa product saw limited reps in 2014 and will be suspended for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. It's unclear whether or not he'll make the team as the Rams have considerable running back depth.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Twins reinstate Casey Fien from the disabled list.

Fien's been recovering from a shoulder issue for the last month. When healthy, he's one of the Twins better relievers.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Twins option Michael Tonkin to Triple-A Rochester.

Tonkin actually had three scoreless appearances before being sent back to Triple-A. His roster spot will be given to veteran reliever Casey Fien who has been on the disabled list.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Jason Marquis has been moved out the rotation and into the Reds bullpen.

Marquis has been getting annihilated in the rotation. He's allowed 12 runs in his last 15 innings pitched and the Reds have better, higher upside options in both Michael Lorenzen and Raisel Iglesias. He'll function as the swingman/emergency starter for now.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Manager Bryan Price says Johnny Cueto will not be ready to start Sunday.

Cueto has been experiencing stiffness in his right elbow. The MRI came back clean, though, and the Reds had previously hoped the veteran right-hander would simply miss a single turn on the rotation. It's unclear how much progress he's made. Stay tuned.  Analysis: Spencer Silva
