Update: Rays re-sign James Loney to a three-year, $21 million deal.

The Raptors have emerged as one of the possible destinations for center JaVale McGee.

There are also reports that the Heat and Mavericks are also interested in the big man. Warning Fantasy Hoops players, just because McGee signs with a playoff contender does not mean rush out to pick him up off waivers. He will most likely not have a big enough role to garner fantasy value. We will continue to follow this story closely.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Trevor Rosenthal is examining his approach to the closer role this year, including the possibility of pitching exclusively from the stretch.

We all know that Rosenthal has a flame thrower for an arm but has had issues with control since becoming the Cardinals closer. He finished 2014 with a 2-6 record with 45 saves. St. Louis has worked with him this off-season to improve his consistency on the mound. We will see if it pays off.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

It's unlikely the Steelers will bring back Troy Polamalu for the 2015 season.

Troy Polamalu is a proud man and the report is that he will not let the Steelers release him, he'll just retire from the NFL. His play over the past few seasons has declined and Pittsburgh just can't pay $8.25 million for that kind of production. The Steelers 2013 fourth-round draft pick Shamarko Thomas seems to be the heir apparent to Polamalu. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Phil Jackson was fined by the NBA for a comment he made regarding D'Angelo Russell.

Jackson had just watched Russell play and said publicly, "He's a great-looking kid." Unfortunately that's a violation as he isn't permitted to speak about players who aren't yet draft-eligible. Russell is expected to declare for the draft and should be a lottery pick but Jackson knows better than to chat about him publicly. Analysis: Howard Bender

Tobias Harris (knee) is expected to play Wednesday.

Harris missed a run of three games with the sore knee, but has managed to play in the last four, including Sunday. He should be good to go for Wednesday's game and should see his usual minutes. Analysis: Howard Bender
