Reggie Wayne's knee rehab is ahead of schedule, will be able to resume running in 6 weeks, full activity in 18 weeks.
Marcus Smart (foot) has no definitive timetable for a return.
It is too early to say that Marcus Smart is "injury-prone" but he is out for the near future for the Celtics. This will push Avery Bradley to the forefront of playing time alongside Isaiah Thomas for Boston. Smart was averaging 9.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game in close to 27 minutes per game for the Celtics. Monitor his reports, but with no timetable, it is unknown how long Smart will be out. Analysis: Greg Jewett
Eagles waived LB Emmanuel Acho.
In a move to get another wide receiver on the roster, the Eagles waived LB Emmanuel Acho to sign Jonathan Krause from the practice squad. Kobe Bryant did not practice on Wednesday.
Coming off of a career tying low shooting performance on Tuesday night, Kobe Bryant did not practice on Wednesday. Bryant is now 37 and is showing signs of wearing down as he returns from his myriad of injuries. On Tuesday, Bryant shot 1-for-14 from the field and 1-for-7 on three point shots. Over the last four games, Bryant is 2-for-21 from three point range and a day off may be best to get him on track going forward. Analysis: Greg Jewett
Matt Bryant (right quad) was limited in practice on Wednesday.
This has to be concerning news to Matt Bryant owners in fantasy. Bryant was limited in practice with a sore right quad. He missed his only field goal attempt in Week 11 from 46 yards out but did convert all three of his extra-point attempts. As a veteran kicker for Atlanta, Bryant is a steady contributor to the offense but this injury could make longer field goals like the one he missed on Sunday questionable in Week 12. Antonio Gates (hip) was limited in practice on Wednesday.
Coming off of a disappointing performance in Week 11, Antonio Gates was limited in practice due to his hip on Wednesday. Gates has made headlines due to his sideline "tiff" with QB Philip Rivers but he makes a habit of not practicing full during the week then playing on Sunday. Gates could be in line for a bounce back game against the Jaguars in Week 12 as long as he is active to play. Analysis: Greg Jewett
DeMarcus Ware (back) did not practice on Wednesday.
Not only has DeMarcus Ware missed the last two games with "structural" damage to his back, but he did not practice on Wednesday. Ware was seen at practice with sweats on and did stretching with a trainer, but did not take part in any practice with the team. His status for this week is up in the air and he could be at risk to miss his fourth game this year and third in a row if he does not play against New England this week. Analysis: Greg Jewett
