Former Cubs phenom Mark Prior officially retires.

Charles Johnson (rib) is not practicing Tuesday.

The disappointment of Charles Johnson continues as he recovers from his rib injury suffered in Week 3. In his absence on Sunday, rookie wide-out Stefon Diggs stepped up to catch six balls on 10 targets for a team high 87 yards. Cordarrelle Patterson continued to be less than impressive with one catch for nine yards. Adam Thielen had a solid game too with six catches for 70 yards on the afternoon. The Vikings have depth at the wide receiver position and if Charles Johnson continues to sit, he will likely lose targets when he finally returns to the field.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Mike Wallace is not at practice Tuesday for the Vikings.

There is no report of an injury and most likely is just a day off for the veteran wide-out. This is coming off Wallace's best day with the Vikings catching eight balls on 10 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown. He should be considered a WR 3 at best right now but he is on pace for 80 catches for 932 yards and four touchdowns.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Ichiro Suzuki has decided to re-sign with the Marlins for 2016.

Who did not love to see Suzuki pitch in the last regular season game for the Marlins? Most thought that was a just a fun way to end his career in the Major Leagues but it looks like Ichiro wants to play another season. He will be 42 years old when the 2016 season begins and is only 65 hits shy of 3,000 for his career. It was not a typical Ichiro season in 2015 batting just .229/.282/.279 in 438 plate appearances. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Eric Ebron will undergo a MRI on his left knee, X-rays taken after Monday night's game were negative.

This injury did not look good on the field. He went down and was holding his knee in what looked like extreme pain. The good news is that the initial X-rays were negative but we will have to wait until after the MRI to find out what's really going on. Ebron had started to get it in his second season out of UNC with 15 catches for 179 yards and two touchdowns.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Free-agent RB Dan Herron is working out with the Buffalo Bills Tuesday.

The Colts reached an injury settlement with running back Dan Herron in early September. He has since cleared waivers and became a free agent. The news on Lesean McCoy is not good and the team needs some depth at the running back position behind Karlos Williams.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Drew Brees said he will incorporate exercises from his visit to Dr. James Andrews facility into a daily program and increase his arm strength weekly.

It's really the best he can do at this point. Brees will just have to regularly work on his shoulder in order to maintain his status as the Saints starting quarterback. It's going to be an uphill climb this season and fantasy owners are likely to be disappointed at times. However, Brees is still considered a top-10 quarterback and should be able to produce solid numbers moving forward. You're not going to see the Brees of old, so brace yourself, but he is still a capable guy. Analysis: Howard Bender

Ryan Wendell (illness) returned to practice Monday.

Just a minor thing here as Wendell returned to practice after being out sick Monday. He will be just fine moving forward. Analysis: Howard Bender

Dorial Green-Beckham was arrested last week in Missouri because of an unpaid speeding ticket. He was later released when he paid the ticket.

Given Green-Beckham's history of off-field issues in college, you see the word "arrested" and immediately you roll your eyes and assume the worst. The bench warrant for the unpaid ticket is routine and once he paid the ticket, all was well. This won;t be an issue moving forward and so long as Green-Beckham keeps his nose clean, he could have a bright future in the NFL. Analysis: Howard Bender

Buccaneers have signed PK Conner Barth.

With Kyle Brindza going 1-for-3 on field goals and 2-for-3 on extra points his past week, the Bucs are turning back to their former kicker whom they cut in early September. Given the volatility at the position, his place on the roster isn't exactly secure. Analysis: Howard Bender

Zach Hocker could be in danger of losing his job as the Saints are trying out kickers Tuesday.

The state of the kickers this season has been an absolute nightmare and the anticipated volatility at the position is going to cause unrest all year. Hocker converted both a 29 and a 51-yard field goal, but missed a 30-yarder which could have won the Saints the game in regulation. The Saints ultimately won the game, but obviously there is concern. Stay tuned to see if they sign anyone.  Analysis: Howard Bender

Haloti Ngata (calf) will have an MRI on Tuesday.

Ngata was forced from Monday's game with a calf injury and knowing how lengthy an absence this type of injury can cause, the Lions will send their prized free agent acquisition for an MRI to determine the extent and if he is expected to miss any time. Expect the Lions to update his condition very soon. Analysis: Howard Bender

Andrew Luck is expected to play Thursday.

The Colts are adamantly standing by the belief that Luck will be under center Thursday despite dealing with a partial tear in his shoulder which was reported Monday. He went through a limited practice, but the Colts are obviously going to take it easy on him leading up to Thursday. Fantasy owners, be warned. While he might be able to play through this in the short-term, there is likely to be some trepidation each week that this could be the last game he plays before surgery is necessary. Obviously that's not a definite, but with what you invested to own him this season, you need to be on the cautious side. Analysis: Howard Bender

Karlos Williams sustained a concussion against the Giants Week 4. His status for Sunday is uncertain.

Easy come, easy go, fantasy footballers. As great as Williams has been, this concussion could set him back if it lingers at all. He'll go through the league's concussion protocol now and undergo daily tests to see if he can be cleared to play. With LeSean McCoy still dealing with his hamstring problem, the Bills could end up with Anthony Dixon and/or Cierre Wood as their starting running back this week against the Titans. Analysis: Howard Bender

Steven Hauschka connecting on both of his field goal attempts while adding one extra-point in Monday's 13-10 win over the Lions.

Hauschka has been one of the better kickers to own through four weeks as he has now connected on all 10 of his field goal attempts, with five of those being for 40 yards or more. Considering the currently inefficiencies of the Seahawks offense, expect him to receive plenty of opportunities to be a fantasy contributor the rest of the way.  Analysis: Matthew Beck
