Despite the fact that the Raiders lost Sunday’s game against the Titans, quarterback Matt McGloin will start Thursday’s game against the Cowboys.
“I thought Matt played well,” head coach Dennis Allen said via CSNBayArea.com. “He got us the touchdown we needed in the fourth quarter. We just couldn’t hold up defensively.”
McGloin is best served for a salary cap league as a low-cost option in a strong matchup. I wouldn't advise using him in standard leagues unless you've been starting the carousel of Dalton and the sort and are desperate for a home run. If you've got anyone close to elite, fight the urge to hang your hopes here.

Fortunately, McGloin and the Raiders have a much more favorable matchup this coming week versus a Cowboys defense that has allowed the second most passing yards and are tied for third most passing touchdowns allowed in the NFL. That said, you are likely not starting McGloin in any format, outside of maybe two quarterback leagues, but at least you can consider Rod Streeter and Denarius Moore, if he plays.
