Dirk Nowitzki moved ahead of "The Logo" Jerry West into 16th place on the all-time NBA scoring list.
Dirk finished Monday's win over the Wizards 19 points, eight rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 32 minutes. Dirk has been steady, but not spectacular as he has not scored over 19 points since the third game of the season and suggested that his knee is sore after having played six games in nine days, but it is not anything serious. Jed Lowrie left Monday's game with a thumb injury. He's going back to Houston Tuesday for an MRI.
In all likelihood Jonathan Villar or Marwin Gonzalez will fill in for Lowrie if he misses extended time, but there's an outside chance the first-place Astros call up uber-prospect Carlos Correa for his first major league taste. Correa is murdering the Texas League (Double-A) to the tune of .375/.429/.719 with four home runs and two stolen bases. He's worth a speculative add in competitive leagues until the situation becomes more clear. Astros GM Jeff Luhnow has hinted that he wouldn't be scared to "lift" Correa straight from Double-A at some point. Analysis: Spencer Silva
