Fantasy Player Updates & News  All You Need to Make Winning Lineups!

Fred Davis will be inactive for a fifth time tonight, meaning he'll miss out on that $500,000 games played bonus.

The Patriots have cut RB Tony Creecy.

Creecy, a rookie out of North Carolina State, will look for practice squad duty with another team. Analysis: Brian Rothstein

Cardinals have released QB Phillip Sims.

Sims won't be finding work anywhere else on an NFL roster. He'll hope to find a shot with a practice squad somewhere.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein

Panthers center Ryan Kalil (knee) says he'll be ready for the opener.

Kalil missed the final two games of the preseason with a sprained knee, but he says he'll be ready to go for Week 1. Kalil will once again anchor the Panthers line. Analysis: Brian Rothstein

Texans QB Tom Savage will miss 4-to-6 weeks with a shoulder injury.

Savage sprained his shoulder in the Texans last preseason game. He's still third on the depth chart though, so it doesn't matter too much. Houston might go temporarily sign a third-stringer.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein

49ers release Joe Looney.

Looney was a reserve lineman at best, but the new coaching regime seems to prefer some of the alternative choices they have on the offensive line. He will look for work elsewhere. Analysis: Howard Bender

Bills placed CB Leodis McKelvin on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list.

McKelvin just had his protective boot removed, but is not going to be able to play on his troublesome ankle for another few weeks. He'll open the season on the PUP list and the Bills will continue to re-evaluate him from there. Ronald Darby should see the work at corner until McKelvin is back. Analysis: Howard Bender

Bills announced they released FB John Conner.

Once a favorite of Rex Ryan's when they were with the Jets, Conner is not going to unseat Jerome Felton as the team's leading fullback. He'll have to look for work elsewhere. Analysis: Howard Bender

Bills have released linebacker Ikemefuna Enemkpali.

Most known for his sucker-punch of Jets quarterback, Enemkpali fails to get the last laugh and is out of a job. It was a real attention-grabber when Rex Ryan signed him immediately following the incident in the Jets locker room, but the punch was obviously not enough to keep him on the roster. Analysis: Howard Bender

Steelers cut DL Mike Thornton.

Thronton was a long shot to make the roster anyway, even as a back-up defensive lineman. He will look for work elsewhere or sign on with someone's practice squad. Analysis: Howard Bender
