Philip Rivers was not grand, but he was effective enough to help lead the Chargers to a 19-9 victory over the Colts Monday night. Rivers completed 22 of 33 passes for 237 yards, no interceptions, and a touchdown as San Diego finished with a 17 minutes plus time of advantage.
To celebrate, Philip Rivers said he was going to take his wife on "a lot of long walks tomorrow. See if we can get this baby [out]." While they are out walking Rivers owners will definitely not be jumping up for joy as he scored only 13 Fantasy Points, which was tied for 12th fewest among starting quarterback this week, a week after throwing three interceptions against the Raiders. Rivers production, shall we say, is becoming murky, but the bright side could be that he may possibly have been distracted the last couple weeks with the baby situation, Keenan Allen is emerging as a go-to receiver, and the Chargers have a very favorable upcoming schedule starting with the Jaguars next week.
