Justin Verlander did his part Saturday night as he shutout the A's over seven innings allowing just four hits, one walk, and struck out 11 in the no-decision, but it was not enough as the Tigers eventually lost 1-0 as the A's evened the series at a game apiece.

Verlander did his part to put the Tigers in a position to win, but the Tigers' bats were silenced by just as an impressive start by A's rookie Sonny Gray. JV retired the first 11 batters he faced and had seven strikeouts in the first four innings of Saturday's game.
