Jason Grilli converted his 32nd save in 34 chances in the Pirates playoff clinching win over the Cubs Monday. It will be the Pirates first trip to the postseason since 1992.
With Mark Melancon suddenly struggling, the Pirates have decided to go back to the man who was locking down the 9th inning for the first 2/3 of the year in Grilli. The Pirates need to get both relievers right for the post-season as Grilli has allowed 13 hits, with a 6.48 ERA, in 8.1 innings in the second half.
