Jets don't expect Chris Ivory (hamstring) back any time soon. It is the same hamstring Ivory hurt on the first day of training camp, but the strain is in a different spot. The initial hamstring injury wiped out a good portion of training camp, and the Jets are prepared for a similar absence this time around.

Surprise, surprise Chirs Ivory is injured, something that many of us anticipted would happen, we just hoped it would not happen so soon. The good news is that for those of you who took my advice and drafted Bilial Powell you not only have Powell's 149 yards rushing outburst to be excited about, you now do not have to worry about Ivory cutting into Powell's production. Powell has shown that when he gets double-digit carries he can make things happen having rushed for around four yards/carry or more in six of the last eight games he as carried the ball 10-plus times. If Powell is on waivers he should be your number one target with this news coupled with his Week 3 performance.

Chris Ivory was a fantasy sleeper darling coming into the season. The only knock on him was his propensity to get injured and miss games. Now he is injured. The hamstring is the same injury that limited his play during preseason. It is time to turn your fantasy gaze away from Ivory and look elsewhere.
