Mets first baseman Ike Davis, who was demoted to the minors June 9, did not have an overly productive first week with Triple-A Las Vegas. Davis hit a disappointing .174 (4 for 23) with seven strikeouts in six games. He managed one double, one RBI, four walks and five runs. Davis, surprisingly, did his best work against left-handed pitchers, batting .333 (3 for 9). Davis hit .157 (8 for 51) against lefties in the majors this season and is a career .209 hitter against lefties.
