According to Troy Renck of the Denver Post Roy Oswalt will likely start for the Rockies Thursday in Washington.
Oswalt's made five minor league appearances since signing with the Rockies. He's posted a 2.16 ERA and 0.930 WHIP over 33 1/3 innings. Oswalt struggled during his time with the Rangers last season, getting hit hard to the tune of a 5.80 ERA over 17 appearances -- including nine starts.ANALYST:
Oswalt is a spot starter, but on the road at Washington is a good spot. He could be a nice value in daily leagues, as well.ANALYST:
Marc Krauss went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Thursday in Toronto.
Krauss is hitting only .150 with a .350 slugging percentage after launching his first home run of the season. It was just his seventh game of the season, but there’s no doubt he’ll need to cut down on the strikeouts if he’s ever going to be able to showcase the decent pop he has. The left-handed hitter was called up from AAA to try and infuse some offense in Anaheim and was slugging .639 over his past 10 games. With Matt Joyce really struggling, expect Krauss to steal some of his at-bats over the next few weeks. Analysis: Kevin Luchansky
