Brewers pitcher Marco Estrada is scheduled to throw an extended bullpen session at Miller Park Monday as he continues to work his way back from a strained left hamstring. He is expected to be examined by the team's head physician, William Raasch soon after before starting a minor-league rehab assignment, MLB.com reports.
The Brewers will want to get Estrada back in their starting rotation as soon as possible, considering their recent struggles. Estrada will likely not need an extensive rehab assignment, which will likely only include one or two appearances. Barring any setbacks, Estrada could be back activated by this point next week.
