Update: J.A. Happ was taken off the field on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital.
Happ has been one of the few bright spots for the Blue Jays this season, so this is an injury that could put an end to their hopes of gaining ground. Hopefully his injuries aren't too serious, but the main thing to watch out for is his psyche when he returns. Many pitchers who are clobbered in the head with a line drive are never the same (see Bryce Florie). Prayers go out to Happ for a speedy recovery, as that was one of the sickest shots I've ever seen someone take in the head.

Happ was felled by a line drive. Our thoughts are with him and his family at the moment. Happ allowed four runs while recording four outs before he was removed from the game. He was replaced by Brad Lincoln.
