Braves activated C Brian McCann from the 15-day disabled list.
As expected, the Braves have activated McCann from the disabled list, meaning those of you using Evan Gattis as your starting catcher now need to find another option. Gattis should continue to get some playing time between the outfield and catcher while McCann gets back up to speed, but it is going to be a headache trying to figure out just when to use him. As for McCann, expectations should be tempered early on, as it may take him a few games to adjust to major league pitching, considering he missed all of spring training and the first month of the season.

McCann isn't going to play everyday just yet, which should help keep Evan Gattis in the lineup. Even more importantly, Jason Heyward still hasn't begun a rehab assignment yet, meaning Gattis should get some starts in the outfield for the next couple of weeks. After that he will probably only play two or three times per week, barring another injury.
