Roy Halladay (shoulder) is likely headed to the 15-day disabled list.
With an ERA that swelled to 8.65 today and his 36th birthday only a few days away, Halladay isn't exactly a high upside option these days. On the plus side, this injury could be the cause for his lowered velocity this season. The downside, however, is that we have no idea of the diagnoses. It'd be hard to cut ties with a pitcher with a career like Halladay, but should he miss a month or two, his 2013 value will be in serious trouble. The Phillies offense isn't what it used to be, making wins difficult to come by. It may be time to label Halladay an aging pitcher whose fantasy value is more based on the past than the future.ANALYST:
Vance Worley will start the season in the bullpen.
The competition for the final spot in the rotation was between Worley and Jeff Locke. Worley's 5.29 spring ERA outperformed Locke's 9.00, but the team wants Worley to be a stable figure in their bullpen. Worley's fantasy value takes a hit as he won't be a starter for a sneaky good Pittsburgh ball club. Analysis: Colby Conway
Update: Blazers have made the Tim Frazier signing official.
The former Penn State player will remain under contract with Portland for the rest of the season. Frazier was selected as the NBA Development League Player of the Week after averaging 20 points, 7.7 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game. However, Frazier won't be worth adding in leagues unless an injury bug would hit Portland. Analysis: Colby Conway
