Pau Gasol said he would play limited minutes Friday while simultaneously trying to get in shape after missing 20 games because of a tear inside the bottom of his right foot. "It's not good," Gasol said of his conditioning. "But I'll continue to work on it and it'll continue to get better."
It should of been expected that he would be limited in his first game back. He is good enough that he could still produce enough in limited minutes to start, but keep your expectations low in case he doesn't do much.ANALYST:
The Indians recalled Danny Salazar from Triple-A Columbus Saturday.
The expected move was announced Thursday after the Tribe felt they needed to push Carlos Carrasco (head/jaw) back to Monday. Salazar was dominant in his one Triple-A start, and as Fantasy Alarm's Brad Costilo noted earlier in the week, Salazar was very solid in his final 12 starts [of 2014], limiting opposing hitters to a .255 average/.668 OPS while striking out 1/4 of the batters he faced.
