Panthers WR Brandon LaFell (toe) was a full participation in practice Friday and is probable for Sunday.

Adam Lind is not in the Brewers lineup on Thursday.

With lefty Francisco Liriano on the hill for the Pirates, Lind will take a seat in favor of the right-handed hitting Jason Rodgers. Expect Lind to be back in the lineup over the weekend. Analysis: Howard Bender

Update: Kyle Lobstein will start for the Tigers on Friday.

Lobstein was activated from the 60-day DL after recovering from his shoulder injury and the Tigers will get him on the hill for the weekend. He made eight starts for the Tigers this year and posted a 4.34 ERA and just 20 strikeouts over 47 2/3 innings. Analysis: Howard Bender

Yankees sent INF Cole Figueroa outright to Triple-A Scranton.

The 28-year old infielder was designated for assignment earlier in the week to make room on the 40-man roster. He will stay on as organizational depth in the minors. Analysis: Howard Bender

Manager Paul Molitor said Kevin Jepsen will fill-in as closer in Glen Perkins' absence.

Jepsen has been outstanding this season and hasn't allowed a run since August 2, a span of 16 appearances. He's filled in as the closer before for Perkins as well as in Tampa Bay earlier in the year. He's a must-own if you need saves. Analysis: Howard Bender

Twins closer Glen Perkins (back) will not go on the team's nine-game road trip. He's listed as day-to-day.

This is a big blow to fantasy owners who have been trying to endure the injury issues for Perkins lately. He's not going to land on the DL, but his status for the remainder of September is certainly iffy at best. Kevin Jepsen should be owned immediately. Analysis: Howard Bender

Jose Peraza is expected to be sidelined 3-5 days due to a sore hamstring.

This will increase the playing time for recently called up Corey Seager who is for the most part the last "big" prospect to get the call. Analysis: Jerry Colvin

Phil Hughes (back) threw a bullpen session Thursday with no reported problems.

His estimated return is September 15th. With the Twins finding themselves only one game out of the A.L. wild card they will need the sometime's crafty veterans skills. Analysis: Jerry Colvin

Update: Tim Lincecum underwent season-ending hip surgery this morning. According to Jon Heyman.

This comes as no surprise as Lincecum has been out quite awhile with this hip ailment. Prior to his injury right handed batters were batting over .300 off of him. He was of little fantasy value. Analysis: Jerry Colvin

Matt Harvey did not travel with the Mets to Miami, but should be fine for his next start on Tuesday.

Just appears to be an illness and he should be fine for his next start on Tuesday against the Nationals. In Harvey's last start versus Philadelphia on September 2nd he surrendered four earned runs over 6 1/3 innings. Analysis: Jerry Colvin
