FANTASY PLAYER UPDATES & NEWS

Browns WR Greg Little (flu) has returned to practice on Friday. He should be fine for Sunday's game vs the Colts.

Manager Jeff Banister said Tuesday he acknowledged the possibility of temporarily seeking some lower “leverage” situations for Tanner Scheppers.

Scheppers has gotten off to a rough start, allowing four runs over 1.1 innings out of the bullpen to start the season. The lower leverage situations would likely mean middle innings and mop up work while he works on his command and pitch effectiveness.  Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Update: Ryan Brett left Tuesday's game with a subluxation of his left shoulder.

Tough injury for Brett as a shoulder subluxation depending on the severity can take a few months to heal. The Rays will have to send him for an MRI before setting a timetable for a possible return. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Sean Nolin's (sports hernia surgery) injury rehab assignment will start with three innings for Triple-A Nashville.

Nolan made 20 starts at the minor league level last season with 17 of them coming for Triple-A Buffalo where he went 4-6 with a 3.52 ERA. He was traded to the Athletics in the deal that sent Josh Donaldson to the Blue Jays in the off-season. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Devin Harris (toe) will not play in Game 2 on Tuesday.

Harris will miss Game 2 after sitting out Monday's practice with a toe injury. J.J. Barea should benefit with additional minutes off the bench behind Rajon Rondo. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Chandler Parsons (knee) will not play in Game 2 on Tuesday.

Parsons was questionable to play after sitting out Monday's practice. Coach Rick Carlisle hinted that Parson's could end up missing the remainder of the series due to his knee injury. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Ryan Brett has left Tuesday's game with an apparent jury.

Brett was making his first career start before getting injured. Allan Dykstra entered the game in his place and moved to first base with Logan Forsythe moving to second base. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

David Lee (strained lower back) is listed as out for Game 3.

Lee was an after thought for a majority of this season as an early injury sidelined him and upon his return the Warriors had him come off the bench as Draymond Green took over the starting power forward role. Lee being listed out will open up some minutes for Marreese Speights off the bench. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Brian Duensing (intercostal) will start soft tossing on Wednesday.

Duensing got off to a horrid start to 2015, allowing three runs on four hits over 3.2 innings in his first six appearances out of the Twins bullpen before landing on the DL. Duensing is coming off a strong 2014 where he went 3-3 with a 3.31 ERA. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Manager Bruce Bochy said it's unlikely Hunter Pence (forearm) will be ready by May 1st.

This is likely disappointing news for Pence owners who were hoping to get him back in the next few weeks. Bochy did not name a time frame for Pence's return but a rehab assignment will likely bet set first before a possible return date. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Tyler Hansbrough will remain in the starting lineup for Game 2.

Hansbrough played just 13 minutes in the Raptors Game 1 contest against the Wizards but was effective as a starter in the final weeks of the regular season while Amir Johnson was injured. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Rain has started to fall at Comerica Park.

Rain was expected to start around 8pm with scattered showers throughout the Detroit area until 10pm. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Devin Mesoraco is hoping he can catch a bullpen session sometime this week to test out his hip.

Mesoraco has missed six straight games with a hip injury but the Reds are reluctant to place him on the DL. In his place Brayan Pena will continue to start at catcher for the Reds. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Angels recalled RHP Cam Bedrosian from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Bedrosian had pitched eight shutout innings while striking out 14 in four games for Triple-A Salt Lake and will provide some help out of the Angels bullpen with his call up. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Angels optioned 1B/OF Efren Navarro to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Navarro appeared in just eight games for the Angels this season, collecting three hits in 15 at bats. He will head to Triple-A where he .326 with 45 runs, four home runs and 50 RBI last season. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Diamondbacks have signed infielder Kevin Frandsen to a minor league deal and assigned him to Triple-A Reno.

Frandsen appeared in 105 games for the Nationals last season, hitting .259 with 17 runs, one home run and 17 RBI over 220 at bats. He will offer the Diamondbacks some organizational depth as a utility player. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba
