Due to the Raven's Shareece Wright being doubtful, and Ladarius Webb and Tavon Young being questionable; cornerback depth was an issue. Chris Lewis-Harris found himself towards the bottom of Cincinnati's deep cornerback position. The Ravens face the Steelers this week, who are coming off a bye. The Ravens already rank 31st in points allowed to wide receivers. Expect big numbers from Pittsburgh wide outs, especially if Ben Roethlisberger suits up.
O'Brien may not curtail Miller's playing time because of the celebration, but it was clearly a message delivered by the coach, who would like to see more growth from Miller. "I think he can add some things to our offense," O'Brien said. "Just continue to work and improve in the classroom and on special teams and he'll get more reps on offense." Miller remains fourth on the wideout depth chart, but as a third-round draft pick in 2016, the Texans have more invested in him than Bruce Ellington, the current No. 3 receiver.
Ellington's been on the decline since Will Fuller returned from a collarbone injury. After a standout game against New England in Week 3 (70 snaps, 59 yards, one touchdown), he's totaled 96 yards on seven catches the following three weeks with a corresponding drop in playing time. He remains ahead of Braxton Miller on the depth chart, but there's only so much room on an offense that includes Fuller, DeAndre Hopkins, Lamar Miller and Deshaun Watson.
The eight tackles were the most by McKinney since Week 1 when he was in on 11 stops. He should run away as the Texans' leading tackler, but has produced fewer per game this season relative to 2016. McKinney has 39 tackles over six games (6.5 per game) after averaging 8.1 last season.
Joseph, whose touchdown was his first since 2014, had been in a bit of drought with just one interception over the last two seasons. With injuries (J.J. Watt, Whitney Mercilus) and suspension (Brian Cushing) decimating the front seven, Houston's secondary will be challenged, which presents more opportunities for Joseph.
Fairbairn has not missed a field goal yet, making all 10 of his attempts through six games. Unfortunately, he's had just one attempt over the last two games, a byproduct of an offense that's finishing its drives. Fairbairn is tied for 14th among kickers with 7.5 points per game as the Texans enter their bye week.
Irvin has now made two sacks throughout Oakland's past three games after failing to reach the quarterback until Week 4 of the regular season. Irvin's role on defense likely won't be impacted much by Monday's signing of former 49er NaVorro Bowman as the Raiders look for a boost during what has become a four-game skid.
Roberts finished as the Raiders' second-leading receiver in terms of yardage during their Week 6 loss, but such a feat remained unimpressive as quarterback Derek Carr passed for just 171 yards total. The third-year wideout has hauled in 14 receptions for 157 yards and a touchdown through six games, lacking much fantasy relevance with Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree relatively healthy.
Patterson provided the Raiders with their longest play of the day as he broke free for a 47-yard touchdown run on a sweep play in the fourth quarter. The speedster's versatility hasn't translated to much volume through the air, however, accumulating just 53 receiving yards on 10 catches through six games. He also continues to see significantly less offensive snaps than fellow wideouts Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree and Seth Roberts, further limiting his potential fantasy upside.
Tavecchio had been perfect on both field goals and extra points throughout the first five games of his NFL career, but a high snap during Sunday's tilt resulted in his first missed extra-point attempt during a crucial portion of the contest. Oakland's one-point loss exaggerates the disappointment stemming from Tavecchio's missed PAT attempt, but the kicker will look to bounce back on Thursday against the Chiefs. The rookie's fantasy value has taken a hit since Week 2 as the Raiders have failed to score more than 17 points throughout their past four games.
Richard was unable to capitalize on fellow backup DeAndre Washington's (hamstring) lack of involvement Sunday, as the latter appeared on just five offensive snaps while Richard accounted for 17 of his own. Veteran Marshawn Lynch once again received a bulk of the carries out of the Raiders' backfield, while receiver Cordarrelle Patterson hit paydirt on a 47-yard run in the fourth quarter. Richard's limited opportunities severely impact any chance he owns at consistent fantasy production, and he also muffed a punt during Oakland's fourth consecutive loss.
Hilton has topped 150 yards twice already this season, but has now gone for 30 yards or fewer in both of his efforts the following week. On the back last Sunday's 177 yards -- the second most of his career -- the usually electric Hilton was a non-factor Monday, accounting for under 20 yards for just the seventh time in 84 regular-season outings. To make matters worse, Hilton is tasked with a tough matchup against arguably the league's best starting cornerback duo, A.J. Bouye and Jalen Ramsey, this Sunday.
Doyle overcame a concussion to be cleared to return for Monday's contest. Not only did he lead the Colts in receptions and targets, but Doyle scored the team's lone offensive touchdown with an eight-yard catch to start the second quarter. That being said, a fumble added a sour note to his night, as he's now coughed the ball up in two of his last three appearances.
