Last year's main starter, Mitch Moreland, is a free agent that will more than likely move on from Texas. Gallo was a popular name in the fall trade rumors, but Texas held on to him even though he hit .040 in 17 games with the Rangers last year, and only .240 in Triple-A.
Devers blasted his seventh bomb of the year to give the Red Sox an early lead in a game they'd go on to win. He's now left the yard four times over his last five games, and since entering the lineup on July 25, he's rewarded fantasy managers with an amazing .356/.420/.699 slash line.
Frazier launched his 20th homer of the campaign to start a Yankees' rally that would eventually erase a three-run deficit, though the team would go on to lose. Despite his solid number of bombs, his batting average is toxic to most fantasy teams while his slugging percentage is sub-par as well.
Sanchez ripped his 23rd bomb of the year to pull the Yankees even in the seventh inning of a divisional loss. He's absolutely on fire, as he's homered six times over his last 10 games, and his yearly totals continue to make him an extremely valuable fantasy option at the catcher position.
Montgomery gave up homers in the second and fifth innings to fall behind 3-0, but the offense came back to take him off the hook for a potential loss. He came into this game having held opponents to one earned run in three of his previous four starts, and he's been a solid fantasy option with a 4.00 ERA. His next start has yet to be determined.
Trout hit his 24th blast of the year to extend the Angels lead to three runs in the fifth inning of a road loss. He continues to be the elite performer that fantasy owners expected, and despite his missed time earlier in the year, his numbers are simply jaw-dropping.
Pujols drilled his 18th homer in the first inning to give the Angels an early lead in a game they'd go on to lose. Despite the bomb, he's a very weak fantasy option, based on his .230 batting average and .380 slugging percentage.
Hellickson gave up five homers in what appeared to be batting practice for the Angels, but the offense made a huge comeback to take him off the hook for a sure loss. After two solid outings after being acquired by the Orioles, he's given up 13 runs over his last two starts, and his downside can easily ruin a fantasy team's weekly numbers. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Athletics.
Joseph crushed his eighth bomb of the season in the third inning, as the Orioles were rallying from an early deficit in a contest they'd go on to win. Despite playing part-time, he's hit three homers in nine games this month, and he's a good option in daily leagues at the catcher position while he's hot.
Trumbo smashed his 19th homer of the year to put the Orioles on the board in the second inning of a home victory. Unfortunately, his .415 slugging percentage has been a tremendous disappointment to fantasy owners.
Machado blasted homers in the third and fifth innings before balasting a walk-off grand slam. He's been tearing the cover off the ball this month, as he's hit eight bombs of his last 14 games to raise his slugging percentage to .494.
In his second outing since 2015, Heaney almost blew an early 5-0 lead, and although he left the game with a two-run lead, the bullpen was unable to protect the lead. Fantasy owners may choose to see if he has a strong outing or two before deciding whether to pick him up for the stretch run. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Rangers.
