Plenty of options in Week 11, if you are stumped as to how you are going to attempt to catch up in pitching categories. There are, as always, some poor match ups, but if you are desperate, we are here to assist.

Remember, injuries, weather postponements and boneheaded managerial decisions can and frequently do interfere with my well-researched advice, so be ever vigilant to changing fortunes. Also, please realize that only SPs owned in less than 50% of leagues are featured here, so as to increase the possibility that you can snag any of these guys off your waiver wire.
Stephen Fife LAD @ PIT Jeff Locke
Luis Mendoza KC @ TB Matt Moore
Joe Saunders SEA @ OAK Tommy Milone
Eric Stults SD vs ARI Trevor Cahill
Jake Westbrook StL @ MIA Jose Fernandez
Fife has looked solid in his 2 starts recently, and while I don't like the match up, he could provide decent enough numbers to make his temporary owner happy. I have been down on the KC staff recently, but Mendoza and his rotation mates are pitching well. Don't expect a bunch of Ks, but he has the potential to keep his team in the game, and that is worth a lot when streaming pitchers. Saunders has also been stable lately, and while I don't want to roster him for more than a day or so, he has a nice K/BB rate, and is posting nice peripherals. Stults is prolly my favorite SP for this date, at least out of those I've chosen. Pitching at home is a bonus but he's rewarded me nicely in those leagues where I have rostered him due to injury depletion of my pitching staff. I tend to always trust St. Louis pitching, and therefore, I have to recommend Westbrook on Friday, especially facing off against the Marlins.

Samuel Deduno MIN vs DET Anibal Sanchez
Chad Gaudin SF @ ATL Mike Minor
Lucas Harrell HOU vs CHW John Danks
It amazes me how the Twins are hanging around in the AL Central. Deduno is one of those amazing SPs that the Minnesota system seems to produce. Nothing flashy, putting his team in position to win with good peripherals. Gaudin has tossed 2 QS in a row, and has been keeping runners from scoring for some time now. Pitching against the Braves isn't ideal, but I like his chances to continue to limit damage and produce. Harrell is one of the surprises on the Astros' staff. I mean, I sort of like him coming into the season, but he has looked real good his last 2 starts. The Ks are up and down, and I do like his mound opponent, which lessens his value for me, but Houston isn't as bad as we all figured coming into the season, and if you need a SP, he's an option.

Miguel Gonzalez BAL vs BOS John Lackey
Jeremy Hefner NYM vs CHC Matt Garza
Roberto Hernandez TB vs KC Wade Davis
Dallas Keuchel HOU vs CHW Hector Santiago
Jason Marquis SD vs ARI Ian Kennedy
Hector Santiago CHW @ HOU Dallas Keuchel
P.J. Walters MIN vs DET Doug Fister
Sunday is where the bounty lies, it seems. I think of Gonzalez as an average pitcher, who throws a great game or two, then bombs out for two or three. Here's hoping this is a continuation of his good times. Hefner is pitching well, putting up a 14:2 K/BB ratio over his past 3 games. He is saddled with a lackluster offense, but his numbers are decent. Hernandez, like Gonzalez in Baltimore, is up and down like a yo-yo. Do I like SPs like that? No, not at all. But if you are desperate, it is entirely possible you could snatch a gem up if you start him at home vs KC. Keuchel and Santiago face off in Houston, and while I am willing to look more favorably on Santiago here, Keuchel has been very effective for the Astros, especially over his last 3 outings. Besides, it isn't like the White Sox are scaring the pants off any SP these days. Marquis is serviceable, as always, but pitching at home and with Kennedy struggling, I like the match up. I do not like Walters' match up against Detroit, but he has been having a decent run of late, and as noted above, I do like what the Twins are doing this season (despite the fact that they are in my Tigers' division).
