Max McCaffrey Headshot

Packers promoted Max McCaffrey to their active roster.

Added 16 hours ago Source
The Packers placed offensive linemen J.C. Tretter on IR and officially activated Max McCaffrey from the practice squad. McCaffrey will merely be used as depth because Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams are dealing with injuries. Nelson is less likely to play compared to Adams, but Green Bay needs all the depth at WR that it can get. McCaffrey is likely the bare minimum in DFS so he's a very bold pick in GPP/Tournament contests.
Zach Orr Headshot

Zach Orr has decided to retire from football after suffering a serious injury this season.

Added 2 days ago Source
Late in the regular season, Orr was reportedly playing with what was being labeled a cracked bone in his shoulder. The young linebacker was then placed on IR in Week 17 with a neck injury. This is obviously an unfortunate turn of events, as it appears Orr has become concerned enough with the injury to step away from his promising NFL career. The 24 year old was mostly a backup for Baltimore over his first two seasons in the league, but he really took a leap forward as a starter this season, recording 130 total tackles, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one forced across 15 games.
Perrish Cox Headshot

Seahawks signed CB Perrish Cox.

Added 3 days ago Source
With corner DeShawn Shead tearing is ACL against the Falcons, the team decided to add some depth to the position. Perrish Cox is familiar with Pete Carroll's scheme, well somewhat, since he spent a month with the team a few seasons ago. He won't be viable in any IDP formats next season.
Blake Bortles Headshot

Jaguars hired Nathaniel Hackett as offensive coordinator.

Added 3 days ago Source
Hackett has been the quarterbacks coach with the Jaguars for the past two seasons and he was elevated to the position of offensive coordinator today. It's no secret that Blake Bortles struggled mightily last year, so Hackett will immediately be tasked with working with the quarterback in order to improve his play in 2017. Hackett was previously the offensive coordinator in Buffalo for one season where the offense was anemic under the leadership of EJ Manuel.
Colin Kaepernick Headshot

49ers plan to offer their head coaching job to Kyle Shanahan once the Falcons season has ended.

Added 4 days ago Source
Obviously the 49ers are hoping that the end of the road for the Falcons is this weekend, but either they're going to offer Shanahan a contract. The Falcons were second in total yards and were the only team in football that scored north of 30 points per game at 33.8.
Joe Vellano Headshot

The Falcons have signed Joe Vellano and added him to the active roster Tuesday.

Added 4 days ago Source
Vellano hasn't played in an NFL game since the 2014 but he'll get his shot in the NFC Championship game this week. The Falcons needed Vellano due to lack of depth after some crucial injuries to the defensive line.
Brian Winters Headshot

Jets have signed Brian Winters to a 4-year extension.

Added 5 days ago Source
Winters has put together a rock solid past two seasons, despite what the Jets record may otherwise indicate. The money figures have yet to be disclosed, but a four-year extension seems reasonable for the 25-year-old.
Marcell Dareus Headshot

Bills have hired Leslie Frazier as new defensive coordinator.

Added 1 week ago Source
Frazier steps in to clean up the mess left behind by the Ryan Brothers. The Bills have talented players on their defense, but they haven't necessarily played up to their potential. Frazier is a secondary specialist so he should be able to improve the defense especially in that regard.
Philip Rivers Headshot

Chargers are finalizing a deal to make Anthony Lynn their next head coach.

Added 1 week ago Source
New hometown, new coach for the Los Angeles Chargers. Lynn became the interim Head Coach for the Buffalo Bills following the firing of Rex Ryan, and was the Bills Offensive Coordinator before that. It was speculated that Lynn may stick around in Buffalo and be the OC again under new Head Coach Sean McDermott even after being passed over for the Bills HC position, but that no longer looks to be the case. The Bills had the leagues best rushing attack under Lynn as the OC, and while he will leave behind a stud in LeSean McCoy, he will have a much better quarterback in Phillip Rivers to work with, along with some terrific offensive pieces returning from injury next season in Keenan Allen and Melvin Gordon.
LeSean McCoy Headshot

Sean McDermott agrees to contract to be head coach of the Bills.

Great signing for the Bills as McDermott has been known for his tough personality. He's been a great defensive coordinator for the Panthers so look for him to bring over more of a defensive outlook to the Bills for the next season.
