Ryan Clady Headshot

Jets have reworked Ryan Clady's contract to move his $2.5 million roster bonus to his base salary for the 2017 season.

This move actually took place back in December, as the Jets were going to be on the hook for the $2.5M in mid-February. Now, Clady's salary for the 2017 season will increase from $7.5M to $10M, giving the Jets more time to decide on rather or not to cut ties with the veteran offensive linemen who missed the 2015 season and played only nine games in 2016.
Randy Bullock Headshot

Bengals re-signed Kicker Randy Bullock.

Bullock proved to be productive down the stretch for the Bengals after the team released Mike Nugent. The veteran could be a nice option for fantasy owners next season.
Brian Price Headshot

Brian Price has been signed to a future contract by the Green Bay Packers.

Price has spent most of the 2016 season on the Packers' practice squad. The 22-year-old defensive tackle out of Texas-San Antonio was active during Week 3 of the regular season.
Jermaine Whitehead Headshot

Jermaine Whitehead has been signed to a future contract by the Green Bay Packers.

Whitehead spent most of the 2016 season on the Packers' practice squad, but he was active during Weeks 8 and 9 to provide depth in Green Bay's beat up secondary.
Karlos Williams Headshot

Steelers signed Karlos Williams to a reserve/future contract.

Karlos Williams, when not suspended and when in shape, was an excellent NFL running back. The Steelers are hoping that they can whip him back into shape during this offseason, while he will start out 2017 serving the final four games on his substance abuse suspension. A lot is going against him, but at least he's getting another shot.
Jamie Collins Headshot

Jamie Collins signed a 4-year $50 million extension with $26 million guaranteed.

Added 01/23/17 5:41 pm (EST)   Source
Collins put together an excellent 2016 campaign with both the Browns and the Patriots and earned this money. He ended his season with 112 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and two interceptions. The Browns need as much talent as they can get so they can finally rebuild properly and this is a good start. Collins will be an excellent IDP option heading into 2017, now that he'll take over the reigns as the Browns defensive leader.
Max McCaffrey Headshot

Packers promoted Max McCaffrey to their active roster.

Added 01/21/17 9:14 pm (EST)   Source
The Packers placed offensive linemen J.C. Tretter on IR and officially activated Max McCaffrey from the practice squad. McCaffrey will merely be used as depth because Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams are dealing with injuries. Nelson is less likely to play compared to Adams, but Green Bay needs all the depth at WR that it can get. McCaffrey is likely the bare minimum in DFS so he's a very bold pick in GPP/Tournament contests.
Zach Orr Headshot

Zach Orr has decided to retire from football after suffering a serious injury this season.

Added 01/20/17 9:32 am (EST)   Source
Late in the regular season, Orr was reportedly playing with what was being labeled a cracked bone in his shoulder. The young linebacker was then placed on IR in Week 17 with a neck injury. This is obviously an unfortunate turn of events, as it appears Orr has become concerned enough with the injury to step away from his promising NFL career. The 24 year old was mostly a backup for Baltimore over his first two seasons in the league, but he really took a leap forward as a starter this season, recording 130 total tackles, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one forced across 15 games.
Perrish Cox Headshot

Seahawks signed CB Perrish Cox.

With corner DeShawn Shead tearing is ACL against the Falcons, the team decided to add some depth to the position. Perrish Cox is familiar with Pete Carroll's scheme, well somewhat, since he spent a month with the team a few seasons ago. He won't be viable in any IDP formats next season.
Blake Bortles Headshot

Jaguars hired Nathaniel Hackett as offensive coordinator.

Added 01/18/17 6:17 pm (EST)   Source
Hackett has been the quarterbacks coach with the Jaguars for the past two seasons and he was elevated to the position of offensive coordinator today. It's no secret that Blake Bortles struggled mightily last year, so Hackett will immediately be tasked with working with the quarterback in order to improve his play in 2017. Hackett was previously the offensive coordinator in Buffalo for one season where the offense was anemic under the leadership of EJ Manuel.
