NFL Players Association conducted a conference call with its 32 player reps Tuesday night after receiving a drug-policy proposal from the NFL, and it ended without a vote.
This is going to be a fairly long and drawn out process. Both the league and the players have so much ground to cover. But for those of you holding out hope that Josh Gordon is going to be back at some point this season, keep in mind that, according to NFL sources, the league has been put on notice that if Gordon's suspension is reduced or rescinded, any player who was fined or suspended after the 2011 CBA was implemented is expected to sue the league. The NFL most certainly does not want that.
