Cardinals released LB Ernie Sims.

Sims was brought in to help with depth for the linebackers, but now finds himself behind both Larry Foote and Kenny Demens with Kennan Clayton about to pass him by as well. He'll find his way to another team looking for depth, but he'll need to step up his game a little if he wants to stick.

The Cardinals signed Sims in June as not much more than roster depth. While Sims managed to play in twelve games last season for the Cowboys, it is unlikely that he will be picked up by another team.

Cardinals signed LB Ernie Sims to a one-year contract.

The season-long suspension of Daryl Washington is what led to Sims receiving a contract from Arizona. Sims has had success in the NFL--mainly in the early part of his career--but recently has been nothing more than fill-in for injured players. He will compete for a starting job due to the Cardinals weak linebacking corp.
