With nothing to play for in Week 17, there is a good chance Bowe will not be the field. If that is the case, Donnie Avery to slide into the No. 1 receiver slot for the Chiefs, despite his lack of production over the last four weeks. Analyst: Matthew Beck View Profile
Updated: Kansas City Chiefs WR, Dwayne Bowe was arrested late Sunday night and was charged with speeding and possession of marijuana.
The news broke yesterday and as more details emerge, we have learned that Bowe admitted to smoking some of the weed, according to KCTV5.
Once Bowe stepped out of his vehicle, the officer explained to Bowe that he had a drug dog with him and that the canine would alert to an illegal substance.
“Bowe stated that they had smoked a little while waiting at the airport,” according to a police report.
The officer discovered a black bag with two containers that had 6.6 grams and 3.8 grams respectively of what is believed to be marijuana in them. Bowe was placed under arrest for the possession of a controlled substance. Source13 Nov, 09:13 AM

Fantasy owners of Bowe would probably be better off if he were suspended so they can avoid the temptation to keep him in their lineup for his match-up with the soft Denver pass defense. He's been a horrible disappointment this season, averaging just 41 receiving yards per game with just two touchdowns on the year. He and quarterback Alex Smith are far from being on the same page and despite a series of favorable match-ups ahead, the promise of better things to come seems small. Of course, there's always the chance that the root of Bowe's problems this season is glaucoma which, in this case then, is likely to be cured. Doubtful, but fantasy owners can always hope.
