Paul Pierce (sore right toe) will not play Tuesday against the Timberwolves.

This injury came out of the blue, but those type of things will happen to an aging veteran. Expect Rasual Butler to start in his place. Butler would make for a great value play in DFS formats if that happens, but the same thing cannot be said for Otto Porter.

Paul Pierce scored 15 points (5-8 FGA/ 4-4 FTA) going 1-for-3 from three-point range with one assist and two steals in the Wizards 93-84 win over the Jazz on Sunday.

At age 37 this looks to be what owners can expect from Pierce and a nightly basis though he will typically contribute a few more assists and rebounds. Pierce is averaging 27.4 minutes per game with the Wizards this season and will likely continue to be in a time share with Rasual Butler at the small forward position unless one of them gets hot.

Paul Pierce scored eight points (3-10 FGA) going 2-for-5 from three-point range with six rebounds and five assists in the Wizards 91-89 win over the Magic on Wednesday.

Pierce struggled from the field tonight but was able to chip in with a decent amount of rebounds and assists to make up for the eight points. At 37 years old it's unfair to not expect a clunker every now and again but as he displayed on Monday against the Celtics there are still a few great games left in this future hall of famer.

Paul Pierce scored 28 points (9-12 FGA/ 6-6 FTA) going 4-for-5 from three-point range with seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in the Wizards 133-132 win over the Celtics on Monday.

Celtic fans (myself included) watched as Pierce hit some big shots down the stretch for the Wizards including the game tying three-pointer to send the game into it's second overtime period. Pierce's 28 points lead all Wizard scorers as they beat the Celtics one day after losing to them in Boston. At 37 years old it's not fair to expect Pierce to be the same player he was during his prime but like all great players there will be certain games that they remind you how good they use to be. Pierce passed Reggie Miller on the NBA All-Time scoring list tonight as he moves up to 16th place.

Paul Pierce returned to the Garden for the first time as a Wizard and scored 16 points (6-10 FGA/ 1-2 FTA) with three rebounds, one assist and one block but the Celtics beat his Wizards 101-93 on Sunday.

Pierce is probably better for the Wizards than he is for fantasy players, but he provides just enough in every category to remain ownable even in shallow leagues.

Paul Pierce (toe) did not report a setback after Friday's game.

Pierce was forced out of the Wizards game on Wednesday with a toe injury and was unable to practice yesterday but felt good enough to start tonight and scored 11 points (4-10 FGA/ 3-4 FTA) with six rebounds and two steals in 20 minutes as the Wizards blew out the Nuggets 119-89 on Friday. The Wizards next game is a big one for Pierce as he returns to Boston for the first and only time this season.

Paul Pierce (toe) will play Friday against the Nuggets.

Pierce left Wednesday's game with a toe injury, but while he was unable to return to the court then, the injury doesn't seem too serious if he's able to play Friday. Just be careful you're not relying on him in daily play as you never know if he ends up limited due to the toe once again.

Paul Pierce (toe) did not practice on Thursday.

Pierce injured his toe in last nights game and was forced to exit after 24 minutes. He is considered questionable for the Wizards next contest but the lack of practice does not bode well for his availability.

Paul Pierce will not practice Thursday after leaving Wednesday's game with a toe injury.

Pierce's sore right big toe was aggravated when John Wall stepped on it. Pierce's toe is expected to heal with treatment and rest, but it is too early to know if he will be able to play against the Nuggets Friday. Otto Porter Jr. should see more minutes if Pierce is out, and he would make in interesting play in daily games.

Paul Pierce is out for rest of game with an injured right toe.

"The Truth" was enjoying a productive game before exiting with the toe injury. He scored 14 points with five rebounds in 24 minutes. The Wizards will hope that he doesn't miss more than the rest of tonight's game.
