Jose Calderon scored 15 points (4-11 FGA, 6-6 FTA) going 1-for-3 from three point range with three rebounds and ten assists.

21 Dec, 11:07 PM

Jose Calderon hit five three-pointers on his way to 21 points (8-13 FGA) with five rebounds, three assists and one steal in the Knicks 99-90 loss to the Suns on Saturday.

It has been an up an down start to Calderon's New York tenure as he is averaging just 8.5 points,3.9 assists and 1.5 three-pointers per contest. Calderon is taking a career low 7.7 shots per game which is contributing to his lowest point total since becoming a starter. Given the Knicks lack of scoring threats outside of Carmelo Anthony and the emerging Tim Hardaway Jr. they could really use Calderon's offensive production and ability to hit the three-point shot.

Jose Calderon recorded 12 points, three rebounds, two assists, and one steal on Thursday night as the Knicks fell for the 23rd time this season.

Calderon didn't exactly struggle on Thursday night, but he did find it difficult to really get things rolling against the impressive Bulls defense. Its is possible to deal with his 12 points so long as he couples them with a solid night in the assist department, but that wasn't the case on Thursday night as he only was able to manage two assists. Calderon's production has been a bit disappointing for fantasy owners this season, and while it is not panic mode for his owners just yet, they should begin to explore other options at the PG2 position.

Jose Calderon acknowledged that he has been playing with a sore/stiff neck.

Calderon has been rather ineffective the past couple of weeks, and that could be attributed to the neck injury. He's been receiving treatment for the issue, and hopefully the injury will go away soon. Calderon will likely not miss time due to the stiff neck.

Jose Calderon continued to struggle Sunday against the Blazers, contributing just four points.

Patience, people, patience. Calderon has played in just nine games this season after being sidelined with a calf injury for almost two months. He's been in a big slump over these last three games, but he's still the starting point guard and things will click for him much sooner than later. Just continue to be patient and reap the benefits a bit later down the road.

Jose Calderon scored 19 points (7-9 FGA) going 5-for-6 from three point range with two rebounds, seven assists and two steals during the Knicks' 98-93 loss to the Nets on Tuesday.

This is the well-rounded, efficient Calderon that the Knicks expected when they traded for him this summer. He's long been one of the league's leaders in scoring efficiency and assist to turnover ratio, and while he's getting older it would be shocking if those skills went away all at once. While tonight was obviously unsustainably hot, it should also serve as a sign that Calderon is recovered from his injury, has knocked the rust off, and is ready to contribute.

Jose Calderon scored nine points (4-9 FGA, 1-5 3PA) with 10 rebounds and six assists in the Knicks’ 86-79 loss to the Heat on Sunday.

Calderon has struggled to find his footing in his new environment, although he's 33 and Sunday was only his fifth game of the season after a preseason injury. He's scored in double figures only once so far and is averaging 3.8 assists and 2 turnovers per game so far. This is his second game with 10 rebounds this year, which is shocking for an aging, non-athletic point guard.

Another unconventional night for Calderon, where he was erratic from three yet was able to somehow grab 10 rebounds. Fantasy wise, Calderon has been a solid stat stuffer, an area where he was't expected to excel. Don't expect his torrid rebounding numbers to continue this season, however you should expect his assist numbers to climb.

Jose Calderon scored 21 points (7-13 FGA) going 7-for-9 from three-point range with 10 rebounds and four assists in the Knicks 109-102 loss to the Mavericks on Wednesday.

Calderon was among the leagues best three-point shooters last season and he torched his former team by going 7-for-9 from long range. This is the type of output for the Knicks are hoping to get from Calderon on a nightly basis to compliment Carmelo Anthony when he is healthy and in the lineup. The 10 rebounds are a major outlier for a play who has never averaged more than 3.0 rebounds per game in a single season.

Jose Calderon had nine points (3-7 FGA, 2-2 FTA) and went one-for-three from deep with five assists and a rebound in the Knicks' 91-86 loss to the Rockets on Monday.

Calderon continues to work his way back from an injury that cost him the first 13 games of the season. While not a volume scorer, he's a great source of assists and will prop up a team's shooting percentages across the board.

Jose Calderon is in the Knicks starting lineup on Saturday against the 76ers.

Calderon's been out for all of the regular reason due to a calf strain, and he fully participated in practice on Friday. The Knicks will probably take it slow and limit his minutes, but he'll make his season debut at point guard on Saturday.
