Magic guard Jameer Nelson suffered a sprained right index finger during Saturday's contest against the Nuggets, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Nelson left the game in the third quarter and was taken back to the locker room for further tests. An X-ray on his right index finger showed no fracture, according to the report. He finished the game with 10 points on 4 of 9 shooting, including 2 of 6 from downtown. He also chipped in with seven assists, four rebounds and one steal while logging 24 minutes of game action.
Nelson's status remains uncertain for the team's next matchup at Dallas on Monday.
Nelson's latest injury does not appear to be anything serious, but after playing three games in four days, the Magic may elect to rest him Monday to ensure his finger is fully healed. If Nelson is ruled out, expect Victor Oladipo to slide over to the point guard position, which would make him a great play in DFS contests Monday night.
