2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Since leaving the Cubs a few years back, Bryant has appeared in just 122 games for the Rockies over the last two seasons. While he did hit 10 home runs in 80 games last year, he spent time on the IL again, and his batted ball statistics were incredibly underwhelming. Since going to Colorado, his ground ball rate has been above 38 percent each season, a mark he never hit in any season prior.

2024 Outlook: The shine has worn off Bryant a bit, and the team is going to use him at first base to hopefully try to keep Bryant healthy and in the lineup. He'll play the outfield every now and again, and despite two porous years from Bryant in Colorado, there's a good buying opportunity for Bryant at his current ADP (outside the top 50 outfielders). We need to temper expectations a bit with Bryant, but at the end of the day, half of his games will be at Coors Field, and he's still expected to hit in the heart of the order. Despite his struggles, he's still made a good amount of contact the past two seasons, and hopefully more availability will allow him to get into a rhythm at the plate, something that has hasn't happened during his tenure with the Rockies.
