David Freese drove in the winning run for the Angles Sunday night with a solo-home run in the bottom of the eighth inning in what would be a 2-1 victory for them over the Tigers.

The home run was just the sixth of the season for Freese, but three of them have come in the month of July where he is hitting over .280 with 13 RBI. Freese's improved overall production this month should provide fantasy owners with a little more confidence in using him as a corner infield option.

David Freese belted a solo-home run and added a walk in five plate appearances in Saturday's extra-inning 3-2 loss to the Mariners Saturday.

David Freese hit a bottom of the 12th inning home run, his fifth of the year, but it was not enough as the Angels came out on the short end of their second extra-inning game in two days against the Mariners with both games ending in a score of 3-2 and the Angels winning the first one. As for David it looks like the early season freeze is finally over as he is hitting .356 with three home runs in 14 games this month making him worth owning, at least while he is hot, in most formats.

David Freese is not in the Angels starting lineup on Tuesday.

Surprising to see Freese out of the lineup tonight given his recent success which has seen him compile a .389 average with two home runs and nine RBI over his past 15 games. He will give way to John McDonlad tonight.

Angels 3B David Freese (left shin bruise) is available to pinch-hit on Sunday. Manager Mike Scioscia said he should return to field in next few days.

This is a poor time for Freese to be hobbled with an injury as he has hit .395 (17-for-43) in his past 13 games. With that said, this isn't a serious issue and he should be back in the lineup this week.

David Freese went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored against the Astros on Thursday.

Freese enjoyed his second multi-hit game in a row and third in his last five. Unfortunately, this little surge at the plate has only brought his average up to .246 on the year. That, coupled with just three home runs 24 RBI puts him on the lower end of production for third basemen, even in a year where most at the position seem to be struggling. In truth though, this may really be where Freese is at production-wise. He had a nice year in 2012 and had some nice post-season heroics, but he's not really a 20-HR guy at all and while he may hit for a higher average in the second half, you're simply not going to be able to rely on him to be some power-hitting third baseman for your team.

David Freese went 2-for-3 with a solo-home run and a walk Wednesday.

The home run was only Freese's third of the season. He's hitting .240/.313/.318, which is uninspiring to say the least, but there's a hint of optimism here. He has hits in 11 of his last 13 contests. He could be breaking out of his season-long slumber.

David Freese went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored during the Angels' 6-2 win over the Royals on Saturday.

Freese is now riding a five-game hitting streak following Saturday's three-hit effort, with three of those his going for extra-bases over his last five games. However, he will need to work on his .238 average and improve upon his two home runs and 21 RBI before warranting an add outside of AL-only leagues.

David Freese has sore a left elbow from getting hit by a pitch Tuesday.

His sore elbow will keep him out of tonight's lineup. Freese has struggled in his first season with the Angels hitting .226 with 2 home runs and 18 RBI.

David Freese is not in the Angels' starting lineup on Wednesday.

Manager Mike Scioscia has decided to give Freese a night off after going 0-for-9 over his last two starts putting an end to a recent six-game hit streak he had going. John McDonald is at the hot corner and batting ninth tonight for the Angels.

David Freese went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's win over the Royals.

Freese has been producing well since making his return from the disabled list early last week, having gone 6-for-22 with a double and six RBI over his last five games. However, until he proves that he is officially out of his early slump, he should remain on the waiver wire outside of AL-only leagues.
