The non-waiver trading deadline has now passed and while many rumored deals did not come to fruition, some elite prospects are “trading places”. Expect more trades this month as prospects not on a major league 40-man roster are not subject to the waiver clearance. Cleveland appears to have assumed the greatest risk and in doing so has re-stocked the Colorado farm system. Washington had a lot to offer but decided to stand pat on their search for a center fielder, at least for now. Who’s next?
