Steve Pearce went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and one run scored in the Rays 8-5 win over the Dodgers Wednesday

Another one of the Rays key bats off the bench is Pearce who is doing a fine job when called upon in 2016 as he is hitting .300 with three home runs and nine RBI to this point. Pearce like the aforementioned Guyer is not much a fantasy value being his playing time is spotty but if the Rays need some help due to an injury, Pearce can play just about anywhere on the field. Keep on waivers but monitor the Rays injury situation as he could see more time if that happens.

Brandon Guyer went 2-for-4 with a home run, one RBI and two runs scored in the Rays 8-5 win over the Dodgers Wednesday

Guyer has played a bench role for most of the season as he has only seen 45 at-bats to this point. He is filling in nicely when needed as he is hitting .333 with two home runs and four RBI. He does not project to be much of a fantasy impact but when called upon he can do the job for the Rays. If an injury occurs in the outfield, Guyer would likely be the guy to step up and fill-in.

Alex Colome picked up his sixth save of the season pitching a scoreless ninth in the Rays 8-5 win over the Dodgers Wednesday

Colome has pitched well in Boxberger's absence and will likely shift into the setup role upon his return. With Boxberger not guaranteed to be 100% the Rays could opt to keep Colome in the closer role until they feel Boxberger is ready. Regardless, it seems like Colome's value as a closer could be coming to an end soon and if he is not picking up saves, his fantasy value is all but diminished.

Drew Smyly allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and six strikeouts over five innings in the Rays 8-5 win over the Dodgers Wednesday

Smyly has been a pleasant surprise for the Rays and is quietly turning into one of the better lefty arms in the AL. Despite sitting at 1-3 on the year, Smyly has recorded a 2.72 ERA to go along with a 0.78 WHIP on the season. His 47 strikeouts in just 39.2 innings show he has the stuff to be good even when his pitches are off and if for some reason he is not owned in your leagues, now would be the perfect time to scoop him up.

Corey Seager went 1-for-2 with a double, one RBI and two walks in the Dodgers 8-5 loss to the Rays Wednesday

Seager has filled in a nice role in the bottom half of the Dodgers lineup as he is currently hitting .252 with two home runs and 13 RBI. There is still a bit of a learning curve for the young SS but he has shown enough at the big league level to be worthy of a fantasy spot. His power stride should come around soon enough and he should be right around .300 year in and out. Stick with Seager as it should only be a matter of time before he breaks out in a big way.
