Mariners recalled Wade LeBlanc from Triple-A Tacoma.

LeBlanc will fill in for Taijuan Walker who is nursing a foot injury, and make the start Friday against the visiting Cardinals. LeBlanc is not a guy to target in any format at this point.

Mariners option Nori Aoki to Triple-A Tacoma.

The M's made a series of moves to help out their pitching staff, and Aoki has been nursing a foot injury for a few days. When he is back to full strength, he figures to join the big club again. Aoki is manly a guy to target in AL only leagues, and in DFS when he has a favorable matchup.

White Sox hope Jose Abreu will only miss one game.

The slugger is sitting after making 25 straight starts in an effort to get his legs back under him. All signs point to him making his way back into the lineup Saturday, but giving him another day of rest is not out of the question. On the season, Abreu has a line of .267/.326/446 with 11 home runs and 47 RBI. Todd Frazier is getting the start at first base and batting cleanup in Abreu's absence.

Angels activated Nick Tropeano (shoulder) from the 15-day disabled list.

Tropeano has been a pleasant surprise for owners in deeper leagues, but has steadily seen his ERA climb to 3.25 on the season, but his WHIP remains very high at 1.55. Oddly enough, he was also optioned to Triple-A, but it would figure that he will not be down too long. If you own him, he is worth holding onto in deeper leagues.

Mariners optioned Tom Wilhelmsen to Triple-A Tacoma.

After being re-acquired by the Mariners, the veteran got drilled for six earned runs in his debut, and has a 10.07 ERA on the season overall. He will look to get right in Triple-A in the hopes he will get called back up to the big club at some point this season.

Red Sox recalled Bryce Bentz from Triple-A Pawtucket.

Brentz, who will take the spot of Chris Young who went on the DL, was slashing .261/.313/.413 at Triple-A Pawtucket. He figures to be the fourth outfielder, and does not offer much outside of AL only leagues, and being an occasional DFS salary relief option.

Cubs plan to play Willson Contreras in the outfield.

Joe Maddon is the master of mixing and matching lineups to get hot bats in, and this is no different. Upon his call-up, Contreras has put up a hefty .385/.429/.846 to go along with two home runs and five RBI, albeit in just 13 AB's. It makes sense also that Maddon would not want to tinker with the catching situation since the Cubs rotation is on a roll. Putting them in the hands of a rookie could be a mistake, and a veteran like Maddon knows this. Fantasy owners will reap the benefits of him possibly getting outfield eligibility.
