Kevin Love Headshot

Kevin Love (back) is questionable for Saturday's game.

Love missed Thursday's game against the Suns after injuring his back on Monday. With Love having back problems in the past and with him not progressing as expected the Cavs might rest him again. That should mean another start for James Jones and more scoring opportunities for LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

Nick Young Headshot

Nick Young (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game.

Young had to leave Fridays game early but was able to return against the Pacers. The Lakers lost 108-96 but Young was able to score 15 points in only 26 minutes. Young hyperextended his left knee in the second quarter and went to get X-rays. When the X-ray came back negative, then Young returned to the court. Young should be able to play against the Mavericks on Sunday but the Lakers may want to be cautious with him.

Chandler Parsons Headshot

Chandler Parsons will play Saturday.

Parsons missed the Grizzlies game against the Kings on Friday night but will return on Saturday. Even though Parsons is playing, he hasn't been very good. James Ennis, Troy Daniels, and Tony Allen will also be in the mix so at this point, it is ok to drop Parsons.

J.J. Barea Headshot

Mavericks Head Coach Rick Carlisle indicated that J.J. Barea (calf) will be out for multiple weeks with his injury.

Looks like Barea injured the same calf but in a different spot and according to Head Coach Rick Carlisle "It's going to take awhile." This is Barea's third left leg injury which is never a good sign. With the Mavericks having nothing to play for, look for them to rest Barea to try and lengthen his career. Pick up Seth Curry and drop Barea.

Bradley Zimmer Headshot

In Triple-A he struggled with a .242 batting average, one home run, nine RBIs, and five stolen bases in 37 games.

D'Angelo Russell Headshot

D'Angelo Russell (knee) is doubtful for Sunday's game.

Russell had to leave Friday's game early due to the knee injury. He is currently now dealing with a strained right calf and right MCL sprain. Expect the Lakers to be careful with Russell since they have nothing to play for and with the All-Star Break coming up some extra rest will be good for Russell. Expect Jose Calderon, Lou Williams, and Jordan Clarkson to see more minutes with Russell out.

Team Israel has been contacting Kipnis in regards to him representing their team in the World Baseball Classic. Timofey Mozgov Headshot

UPDATE: Timofey Mozgov returned to Friday's game.

Mozgov has returned and has grabbed 7 rebounds in 11 minutes of action. He should be able to assume his typical workload for the Lakers as Tarik Black heads back to the bench.
