Nick Vannett Headshot

Nick Vannett (ankle) will not play in the Seahawks' preseason finale Thursday against the Raiders.

He's dealing with a high-ankle sprain and stuck behind Jimmy Graham and Luke Wilson on the depth chart. He'll need to get healthy to have any type of impact as a blocking tight end.

Ty Lawson Headshot

Kings and Ty Lawson have reportedly agreed to a 1-year deal.

It's a low-risk move for the Kings as they have Darren Collison and Isaiah Cousins in front of him. Lawson was miserable last season averaging 5.7 PPG, 3.6 AST, 1.8 RPG over 21.4 MPG. He's trying to get his career back on the right path.

Eric Berry Headshot

Eric Berry officially signed his franchise tag Sunday but coach Andy Reid doesn't anticipate him playing in Thursday's preseason finale against the Packers.

He's stayed in shape and the veteran doesn't need reps before the season starts. He just signed a tender to land him a one-year $10 million dollar deal after holding out all of camp.

Kyle Williams Headshot

Kyle Williams (undisclosed) was released Sunday.

He was buried on the depth chart with Marshall, Decker, Enunwa, and more solid depth behind him. Williams was a part of the roster cut. He has 47 career receptions for 574 yards and 4 TD's over 39 NFL games. He may latch on to another team's practice squad.

Mike Gillislee Headshot

Mike Gillislee is still in concussion protocol, but has begun the Return-to-Participation process.

Gillislee will be ready for the season opener against the Ravens. He'll operate as the #2 back behind LeSean McCoy.

Aaron Williams Headshot

Aaron Williams remains in concussion protocol but has begun the Return-to-Participation process.

It's good that he has entered the protocol phase to return. He should be ready for when the season starts.

Drew Stanton Headshot

Drew Stanton will be the Cardinals' No. 2 quarterback.

The Cardinals re-signed Stanton on a two-year deal in March and he'll open as the backup to Carson Palmer. Palmer seems to get nicked up, so it's possible Stanton may be taking some reps during the year. He's a more-than-capable backup option.

Branden Oliver Headshot

Update: Branden Oliver (Achilles) is expected to miss an extended period of time.

It would seem likely that Oliver would miss most of the season after reportedly tearing his Achilles tendon in Sunday's preseason game. He was poised to be the back up to Melvin Gordon and Danny Woodhead as a versatile back but will not miss a good portion of, if not the whole season.

Homer Bailey Headshot

Homer Bailey is dealing with biceps tendinitis. However his elbow is fine.

Bailey got shelled during today's start, only lasting 1 inning, giving up 4 runs (3 earned) and striking out none. It's unclear if he'll miss a start but tests will be done to determine the severity of the tendinitis.

Gregory Polanco Headshot

Gregory Polanco attributes part of his power surge to a June shoulder injury which led him to follow through his swing with both hands on the bat.

The good news is that injury seems to be healed and Polanco is hitting better lately. Overall, he's hitting .273 with 19 HR's and 11 steals and should provide some good power and speed as long as he can stay healthy.
