Are you getting distracted by Spring training? If you are like me, you are balancing your time (or trying to) between prepping for MLB auction/drafts and keeping a keen eye on your NBA fantasy team. Continuing with our NBA mid-season reviews, we wrap up the Eastern Conference with a look at the Southeast Division.

Miami Heat 31-9- The only grade that matters in South Beach is if the Heat take home the title. Anything less than an NBA championship will be considered a faliure in South Florida. Rookie Norris Cole's surprise effectiveness has motivated Mario Chalmers, greatly improving the point. Chris Bosh has become more physical and Lebron is having a career year. The only concern may be the health of Dwayne Wade.
Orlando Magic 27-15- We should know by Thursday if Dwight Howard will have an extended stay in Orlando. Superman has been very outspoken this season about his future, so much so that I have lost track. Howard will either sign an extension or get traded, most likely in the next few days. The Magic don't have much to offer to add a signifcant star to entice Dwight to stay, so it appears likely he may be moved.
Atlanta Hawks 24-17- Atlanta has maintained better than expected without injured big man Al Horford. Joe Johnson has stepped up his game, but has been injured of late. Josh Smith now says he wants to be traded by the deadline, so add that to the list of stars that may be on the move this week. Marvin Williams appeared to be on the verge of a breakout season, then returned to his funk and now wants to be traded.
Washington Wizards 9-30- There were high expectations in the Nation's Capital with three high draft picks and a solid young nucleus led by John Wall. Andray Blatche has been his usual distracting self and JaVale McGee isn't going to be happy when he doesn't get "DeAndre Jordan" money. How's that contact working out for the Clippers, huh? Guard Nick Young won't be invited back and owner Ted Leonsis will be looking for a new coach in the offseason.
Charlotte Bobcats 5-34 Is this the worst franchise in the NBA? Rookies Bismack Biyombo and Kemba Walker show promise, but the Bobcats have a LONG way to go. Gerald Henderson's return from injury has helped at center Byron Mullens has been a nice surprise. Corey Maggette is the only consistent threat on offense and the versatile Boris Diaw has decided he wants out of Charlotte and has been benched until MJ can oblige.
Up next, a look at the Western Conference, beginning with the Northwest Division
